# Lead Follow-Up Map: Setup Guide

This file is a small, visible system for tracking real inquiries. It is not a contact list for unsolicited outreach.

## Set it up

1. Open `lead-follow-up-map.csv` in any spreadsheet application.
2. Name one person as the owner of each open inquiry.
3. Use only statuses your team can explain and review.
4. Store contact details only when you have a legitimate reason and permission to do so.

## Suggested statuses

- **New:** captured but not reviewed.
- **Replied:** the first useful response has been sent.
- **Waiting:** another person must act before the work can move.
- **Next action:** a specific follow-up is scheduled.
- **Closed:** completed, declined, or no longer active.

## Daily review

Check new inquiries, overdue follow-up dates, and rows without an owner or next action. Give every open row one owner, one specific next action, and one review date.

## Weekly review

Close dead entries, correct missing context, and look for repeated questions that should improve the website or intake form. Do not keep personal details longer than needed.

## Keep the system small

Remove fields you do not use. Add a larger tool only when the real workflow proves it needs one. Important promises and unusual requests should remain visible for human review.
